Re: Where do they go
Drop spindles sorted that problem but brake fail light is still a problem ANYONE BILLY  It used to be (or still is ) law that you fit a brake fail light in the system when upgrading brakes, you will need to use the HQ-HZ distributor block that has the plastic plug in sensor.

Re: steering arms.
You might be ok, i know with HR stubs and HR arms the steering Ackerman angle is incorrect but since the HQ stubs will position the arms differently they might work on.DOLLER wrote:Hmm I'll have to have a look and post some pics and see what you blokes think.

Re: steering arms.
Ive just put my HR front end together and have noticed that the steering arms when on full lock will hit bottom of the wishbone. Im running a front mount torana rack with HR steering arms onto HQ stubs. When I put the front end in will the weight of the car "level" out the lower wish bone...

Hey i'm all for using other parts but for one they be available easily, 2 they need to fit with a minimum of modification and 3 be last in line after easier and cheaper alternatives. T/birds were never sold here so trying to use a part thats not available, has the wrong bearing size, wrong wheel stu...

Re: plumbing brakes
It all depends on what m/cylinder and booster you are using and if you have drum/drum or disc/drum/ or disc/disc. For matching HR/torana discs and disc rear cylinders you boost the whole circuit, for drum front rear cylinders you only boost the front, discs or drums alround you boost the full circui...

Re: Torana steering - which rack?
Hey guys sorry to hijack this thread but I thought one of youse would know the answer (ratbox). How should these torana racks be greased/lubed??? Would I take off the two "plates" and grease with a heavy type of grease like axel grease?? That plus remove the boots and wind in/out while gr...

Re: Torana steering - which rack?
Hi guys Does anyone know if Torana front mounted steering racks from LC to UC are the same and, if not, which is the best model to use on a HR front end? Cheers, Steve The LH was the rack they used for most of the conversion around including CRS, i'm not sure if LC/LJ are same length but i'd guess ...

Re: Diff mount saddles / brackets
This is how it sits after dropping it back down on the ground, the front will drop a little more once i remove the 179 and drop in the buick V6. The BMW rims fit great at the front but just a little too wide for the rear without cutting out the lip or pumping the guards. http://lh5.ggpht.com/_Z0C5TK...

Re: Seat options eg Rodeo
I had HR buckets but decided i didnt like or want the lounge suite look and luckily dad found a pair of grey leather bucket seats out on hard garbage that i will be using- which is cool as my interior is grey. Generally i look for seats that have flat evenly spaced tracks so that its easy to make br...
