Kieth,
I am using a UC torana front and have found the callipers hit the top wishbone under full lock and compression when installed to the rear. UC or Harrop A9X torana steering arms need to be used to elliminate any bump steer.
Also the HQ steering arms have 2 degrees less king pin inclination so you may have dramas with camber adjustment.
The Torana front is also 60mm wider than the HR with the same brake set up so wheel clearance could also be a problem for you.
Food for thought !!
Regards Greg

G,day Keith
Am using a UC front end also , I have got the HQ stubs ,hubs on ,but have not had fitted callipers to try yet, so cant tell you much there , have read that you cant mount them on the back because they hit and can push the pads out ??????? Does this seem the case Greg??
Also read you have to mount them on the front and grind a section off the bottom for your steering arms to fit ????
But I have only read this on the Torana Forum , and I like to do things myself before taking stuff you read as gospel, there is so many different opinions on there .
But as Greg said you have to change the steering arms cause the HQ mounting points move the steering an Inch higher and can cause bump steer , apparently there are a couple of after market steering arms as well.
Dont think you will have issues with clearance , I have no problems with the 14 inch wheels I am running , clears everything with STD guards , no flaring , have just got some lowered springs coming will fit them this week and double check then .
Camber is still a problem , but if you two guys can sort it all out and post pictures and a how to before I finish my body work that would be great
Dont think I helped much did I , and where are the pics of your ute????
Cheers
Chris
