Sunnymick factory black FB special and other FB-EK's

Next car we have I do not have many photos of. 1962 marine blue EK sedan. We picked this up about 18 months ago just out of Gladstone a mate stumbled across while workin out that way. Front sheet metal very rusty but worth fixing. Managed to get to running it has a 186 auto

plans are to leave the 186 in it and restore it head to toe. It has the white hooding seats with blue inserts but needs a lot of work. Thought about putting the flash kit onto another car but it deserves life

Next car to introduce is our 1962 EK hydro wagon. Ex toowoomba car this car has log books original purchase receipt and most of its rego slips to 1989 which seems when it was last on rego. Got it to run and drive needs brakes etc doing and some minor rust repairs and paint touch up. Plan is to hand it over to my missus to drive when she wants to. We want to run a pack rack on it and put a few accessories on it

Next car is a 1961 FB special Grecian white with a iris flash. Last on rego 1986 ex Toowomba car. Still has its original plates on it. A old lady owned it covered it in newspapers to protect it but her shed roof gave up hence the surface rust. The owner we bought it off had purchased off a scrap metal guy. I am guessing he had plans to do something with but if anything it got a lot worse than what is was. The first thing he did was rip the mats out of it. Managed to get it to run off the fuel tank and drive. Plans are to restore down the track.

I was joking about the green paint...

That two tone green FB is the twin of my Adelaide FB and the FB special Grecian white with a Iris flash has to be rare
thats only the second one I've seen....

This EK wagon was one of mine ,i sold it about 3 years ago

Wow interesting we must of bought it off the guy you sold it to. We saw it in eBay bought it. Toowoomba has been good for cars for us. The only other FB we have that I don't have a photo to share was another toowoomba one. FB wagon seagull grey with a white flash last on rego 1974 with rego sticker full log books in very good condition. It may be another you may have known being local

Fb delivery I have shown photos to my cousin of places you been he being in Warwick has been to a lot of those places you have photographed. He also collects 1970's fords- landaus, ltd's etc

On the subject of putting those EK doors on my FB..... Have you noticed people put FB chrome more on EK's than people put EK chrome on FB's. Why is this so lol
