Manual gear lever knob
Hi again everyone.
The black gear lever knob broke in half under my enormous superhero strength while I was driving the other day. After the special badge breakage, I’m hoping things don’t happen in threes!
When I looked carefully at it, considering Araldite, there seems to be lots of micro cracks ...

EK Special glovebox badge
Hi all
It’s been a while! But i have been looking after the EK and driving it more regularly nowadays.
I was polishing the dash when the polish cloth caught under the end of my glovebox “special” badge and broke the last few letters off 😢
Would anyone out there have a good quality replacement i ...

Speedo sticking
Hi all.
Recently my speedo has started playing up. When i accelerate it works fine. When i slow the car down the orange bar seems to be very slow in responding. Now when i stop the car, the orange bar seems to stay at 30….till i go faster.
I was thinking of pulling the instrument cluster and ...

Queanbeyan electroplating guys can put new pins on old badges
Hi Brett. You got me all excited! I gave them a ring and they do put new pins on old badges. However, they then need to electroplate chrome them. They cant just re-pin them. I really wanted to keep the original look of the badges ...

Broken badge pins
Hi all.
I recently had the front end of my EK re-sprayed. When he gently removed all the badges he discovered that a few items had once been glued into place (?previous owner) because the pins were missing. A few others may have had their pins broken during this careful removal, I’m not sure.
So I ...

Re: door handles
Hi Clay.
I agree with you. They all look like something off the Bunnings shelves.
I searched "Lenlok" and these ones look perfect:

Hi all.
After owning my EK for a couple of years now I finally realise why I needed to replace my door opener mechanism and handle: without thinking, you grab it to pull the door shut.
I've seen pics of EK doors with "pull shut" handles that I thought I should install. I discovered ...

Re: Steering wheel repair
I realise I'm a bit late to this discussion.
When I purchased back the family EK it had this smaller wooden steering wheel on it...a good one apparently but I hated it being not the one my grandfather steered with. I asked the seller if he had the original and he did! but it was cracked in several ...

Re: GMH Body Id Plate, Chassis & engine No ..... Please post.
There's a fella on the one of the FB/EK FaceBook pages who seems to be collecting data (for 10 yrs now). His name is Steve Jackson. He also says he hasn't had anything to do with this forum for 5yrs now. Dunno why, don't care. Another person posted on FBook that they are also collecting the data ...

Hi Moderators.
I just posted this on FaceBook. I'm here to get things moving on having a database we can all use and add to. Most of these earlier posts on these 75 pages are lost. Opinions please.

Re: visor windscreen dash - advice please
Hi Rapps
The mudflap frames are fantastic. Sam Crupi sent me a full set.
Mudflaps look great too...unfortunately work has been getting in the way of Quality time with the EK :dohh: They are sitting on the shelf, staring at me every time I rush past.

Mate you don't want to bolt it on
The dash can be resprayed with the screen in situ if you are patient
