Just another night in mandurah!

Hi all, well I got in from work yestrday and the misses dragged me down to the local pub for half price dinner night. After tea she wanted to take the kids to the playground which was a bit of a walk but well worth it! As we got near the foreshore the traffic was in chaos, turns out that a heap of ...

Re: Wayne with Adelaide 1961 FB

Are you using any sort of spray on the screws? I've found that super release agent is unbelievable stuff. I use it at work on everything even if they are not seized!

Keep it on the road and do little ...

First Resto. Please put your 2 cents worth in !!

Hi all,
I am really enjoying reading this site everyday and seeing the projects that everyone has on the go. I dragged the old ute out of the shed a few weeks ago with the intention of driving it to work the next day, but found a few problems. I then decided to try and slow down or stop the rust ...

Re: Wet carpet!!

I've done some looking and I'm pretty sure it's coming from the plenum drain tubes. Does anyone have drawings or information on these tubes. It looks like to get to the plenum side I have to remove the plenum panel which means removing the front fenders. ( huge job ). I must have replaced the tubes ...

Wet carpet!!

Hi all. For years I have struggled with the rain making its way into the old ek and settling in the carpet, I have just recently removed the carpet and chucked it out. I have sprayed rust converter on the floor pan and I will buff the floor and prime it whenever I get a chance.( bloody Christmas ...

Sorry if I sound like your Mum, but consider getting the car up on ramps or a hoist and look for rust in the sub-frame and fix those areas before tackling the cosmetic stuff. Also give the mechanicals and electrics a good eyeball to make sure it will pass its rego inspection. It would be a shame if ...

Re: 1962 ek ute

That certainly is a nice looking ute and will hopefully bring you a lot of satisfaction getting her back into shape and out on the road regularly again.

Are you planning on just fixing up any problem areas on the ute, or are you going to make some changes?

 :D
Thanks for the comments! I ...
