Hi Guys,
We are putting a HR disc brake front end into my FB and I was wondering what will be the impact on the ride height. It is currently on lowered springs about 2 inches. To keep the height it is now will I need to put lowered springs in it or will the HR front drop the height? Can I use the ...

Can anyone tell me the good and bad about using this ratio? I am running a 138 RED motor(stock) with HR 3 speed gearbox. Wheels are 15 inch.

Hi Guys,
Does anyone know if a 4 speed gearbox fitted can be done without modifying the bench seat for the floor shift?
Cheers,

Hey Steve,
Here is the ID plate to my twilight turquoise FB. Can you give me any info on the build date of this car.
The number on the guard is FB37677S. This car has been in the family since 1963.

Re: HID lighting system

Obviously these are not self levelling but the Narva lenses are ADR approved to run this type of light system. The headlights have been adjusted identical to the previous lights.

HID lighting system

Hi Guys
Just put a HID headlight system in the FB. I have used a pair of Narva free form headlights and found the HID kit from Ebay.
The light intensity is 6000K which puts out a really white light.I did have Hella lights with 90/100W globes and relays which were pretty good but these things are a ...

Re: engine speed

Hi Guys,
I am running a stock 138 red motor with a hr gearbox and have recently changed the diff ratio to 3.36(15inch wheels 195/55).On the weekend i put a tacho in and find at 100km/hr the motor is revving at about 4800rpm.At 110 it is about 5200rpm. Is this a normal figure i would expect? The ...

diff ratio

Hi guys
I am currently doing a bit of freeway driving daily and am finding the standard diff ratio making the car work too hard. The motor is a standard 138 red with a HR three speed. Is a 3.55 or a 3.36 the best options? will a 3.08 be too tall?
Thanks,Payney
