Thanks EKWagon and Sunnytim for the replies. When the guy was explaining the kit to me over the phone, my head was a mess at trying to work it out. Sunnytim, I think its a different kit to the white EJ in the photo you posted, as the rear door and rear quarter moulds have slight sweeps similar to a ...

New Flash kit - Anyone know what this one is called ?
Managed to pick up a flash kit for the EJ but havent seen one like this before. Looks a bit like a saratoga but it has a flip. Has the flashing for the front half also, so it doesnt appear to be something "made up". Unfortunately its missing two of the small pieces on one side, the short l...

I dont know exact rules in Victoria sorry. If they are the same as Sydneys .. no modifications allowed to the holden original chassis. Wont pass engineering. I believe its possible if you build a new full chassis, need to chat to your engineer. Hence the biggest wheels you can fit with an original c...

Update on the van - Rear end has been lowered. New wheels thrown on, tyres are just cheapies as the car will still sit for long periods (body work etc). Eventually white walls  Will get the thick band so it gets covered by the wheel arches. http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z108/ElaSilk/DSCN1...

Re: putting hq stubs onto hr front.
1. You can grab a convserion kit from CRS , basically bearing shims etc. Cost is $173 plus postage. This will allow a p76 rotor to slip onto a HQ stub axle. this will give you about 10mm pull to the center of the car. If you use CRS dropped stub axles these will give you a further 15mm pull inwards over HQ-WB stub axles.matches wrote:i'm thinking about changing my hr drum front to disks and using hq stubs to lower it a bit at the same time,
my questions are:
1: what do i need for fitting redrilled p76 rotors to hq stubs (calipers, adaptors ect)?
2: what trailing arms do i need to use?
3: if i get p76 rotors do i need p76 calipers as well or can i use hq/z ect?
4: are all the stubs from the kingswoods the same, hq hz wb ect?
5: what else do i need?
thanks, luke.
2. As above - depends on steering method
3. HQ calipers will work with the P76 discs
4. Yes as above - not sure about HK/HG/HT and HQ -WB Mick would know RATTBOOOOXXXXXXXXX ?
5. Multi stud rims, saves paying stupid money for re-drilled P76 rotors in Holden pattern, for the rest of your life. Most rims can be purchased with &*#@ and HQ/chev stud pattern. My EK van, EK sedan and EJ sedan all use multistud. Very handy !! Both the ek sedan and van use p76 and dropped stubaxle combo with HQ calipers.

Definetly an option mate. V8s arent a problem at all in NSW, be it SBC, BBC or Aussie V8s. If your a novice, then give yourself a budget. If you can buy one already modified with a V8 you will definetly save cash. Its a good time to buy cars, seems they are pretty cheap for what you can get at the m...
