New Flash kit - Anyone know what this one is called ?

Post by Mephious »

Managed to pick up a flash kit for the EJ but havent seen one like this before.

Looks a bit like a saratoga but it has a flip.

Has the flashing for the front half also, so it doesnt appear to be something "made up".

Unfortunately its missing two of the small pieces on one side, the short length for the rear drivers side door and the drivers rear quarter. If anyone has these pieces spare please let me know

According to the Thornton Industries catalogue, it is the Monteray kit with standard anodised insert, and Tilli Products pty ltd have it listed as the EJ Straightline and Monteray Kits and optional inserts

either way nice kit!

Thanks EKWagon and Sunnytim for the replies.

When the guy was explaining the kit to me over the phone, my head was a mess at trying to work it out.

Sunnytim, I think its a different kit to the white EJ in the photo you posted, as the rear door and rear quarter moulds have slight sweeps similar to a Saratoga kit.

Greatly appreciate the help guys, if I refer to it as a Monteray kit it shouldnt put peoples noses out of joint ?

Hi Tim, not according to my two brochures, both have the title listed as Monteray and having front anodised with rear painted inserts.
When I get home tonight I will chek out the Sabrelook
