Re: FB EK ute and van owners.
My ute is missing this panel and has an opening of 300mm, I'm thinking whoever removed the panel trimmed a bit extra?

Re: FB EK ute and van owners.
My one is 285mm but the mid join is modified a fair bit so maybe not the best one to measure. Why not talk to the fellow who just made one?

I can get you the measurement when I get home this afternoon.
Re: FB EK ute and van owners.
He made the first panel for a ute with aftermarket floor pans and is finding some variation in the size / depth of the panel required in relation to the pans.... Mine for example has been trimmed back to 300mm and yours is at 285mm.Brett027 wrote: Wed Feb 02, 2022 9:50 am My one is 285mm but the mid join is modified a fair bit so maybe not the best one to measure. Re: FB EK ute and van owners.
Just measure my ute and I have 285 mm floor to the crease and 320 mm floor to the fold line.
Hope this helps.

Yes of course, different floor pan height will come up here where peeps like me have banged in a new one. Need an original floor I think

Re: FB EK ute and van owners.
Unless you are doing an original restoration, the back panel is usually cover in carpet or vinyl.
A new panel with a number of ribs to strengthen rolled in would be the go. IMHO

Yes, I'm currently thinking carpet on the lower and vinyl on the upper with a trim piece to cover the join. However, it might end up something different altogether

Re: FB EK ute and van owners.
Measured my original floor pan to seam 290mm. When I say seam it is actually the rear deck height, being the panel van but ute deck is the same.
