to change it to an auto?
Hydro?, powerglide? or tri?

not nessisarilly but it's not good and you still would have to take to it with heat and a hammer

thanks for your input ratbox, Ineeded to know cause I want to buy fb/ek with auto and if I can't find one I like I might have to convert one. it will help me to work out the cost.

Gday there Craig, I know I havent got an FB or EK but my floor pan is the same. I installed a trimatic and i used a HQ floor tunnel which I got for nothing. It went in quite well and at the end of the day it comes down to cost I suppose. Just a thought any way mate and it fitted in quite well with a Hurst cable shifter, cheers

The bonus of the CRS tunnel is it allows factory auto carpets to fit properly. Although half an hour with the heatgun helps too. As factory moulding has the bracing on the inside, so if you don't have that you need to remove it.

Also minimal work to fit the tunnel too. We used the CRS tunnel and I know 3 more all very happy with fit Sometimes spending a little can save a whole heap of time. Mine took an hour all up from memory, that includes trial fitting a couple of times, temporary mounting, cutting floor and final welding.
