FB standard i've had for a while it's a pretty clean car, bit of old accident damage to skirt of subframe doesn't affect anything couple of bolt holes don't line up and a bit of damage on rear right rail (twist in spring hanger) good floors that need a few very small patches
it had been sitting for 20 years in a shed in temora NSW before i got it, i have never seen a car with so many bones in it the rear seats must have weighed 25 kilos each section then the floors were up to the seats with rat sh!t and more bones
i very seriously considered going mild grey and 3 speed with it but it just worked out to expensive and still don't think i would have been happy with the way it went (me personally) and i have a 149 and aussie 4 speed just laying around so it just made sence to stick that in, i'm just sticking EH drum brakes all round on it with an EH diff and steering collum
so that's about where i am it's on the trailer ready for a trip to sydney tomorrow to get rear rail fixed floor hump done and engine and gearbox mounts done

actualy not going this year the last of the guys i used to go with stopped going last year still a couple of guys i know there but not the same so decided to can it this year
but i know where yor going with the comment it shouldn't take long at all as most of the stuff is sitting here waiting to go in/on it, i'm not bothering with paint at the moment just depends how lazy i am as to how long it takes
there's a nostalgia drag meet in about 3 weeks might chuck the blower on it and take it to that just as a basic driver not regoed, if i do that (need a huge dose of motivation though ) i'de like to try and find a black 3.3 runner so i don't damage the 149

at the moment i'm not even planning on painting it at all
and i'm fighting temptation and peer pressure to fit injected 5 litre it's very very close there's a VQ statesman here (where i'm working on it) as a donor, if I could put my hands on a LH/LX/UC front end it might happen

well I actually called it today said f#%k it ok do it give me a price on fitting the 5 litre but the mate said he's really just to busy to do it so it was gunna happen even though I wasn't fully on board but the fitter canned it on the plus side hump is pretty much in engine mounts are done and rear gearbox cross member is well on it's way (I have pics but they're on my phone and i'm not at home)
and really I didn't want to 5 litre it I want the Austin done and I've also got on to a V6 EK to look at tomorrow so I can spend the money I would have spent doing the 5 litre conversion on a complete car with a V6 fitted

wish I could send pics to the guy that recond this car wasn't worth $1100 the underneath is near spotless
