Not much to show for my massive day of tieing loose ends .
Got half the roof in undercoat and some other areas that neaded bare metal covered , I had that little grinder singing for 8 hours and as the dog chewed up me blasted ear muffs ,I now know what the neighbours hear , christ they are a sympathetic lot
Not sure if the pics will show it but when the mounting edge is trimmed off the guard it drops below the top of the subframe something I had to keep an eye on with twist of the guard ,
The extra guard had an extra wide edge trimmed off it to compensate for the aprentice bad workmanship the day before , then I hammered the curve up to the headlight flat and away we went .
So after going away and coming back I sat and had a google (ya like that - computer terms)
I have acheived what I was hoping , the headlights look slimmer , the stance is tougher , the car is straighter and if ever I prang it Im going to shite me daks
Can I just say again Im stoked to have thyme again
and the last pic its ready to cut and weld .
Didnt take any more

Funny - without reading your last post I headed back out the shed and pulled out the 54 chev bumper and EK grille to google.
1st thoughts are I am going to peak the grille and if I use EK lengthen it to suit,
The Chev bumper although last time I put up some pictures I didnt know what planet you guys were on ,Im now refusing it , would like a similar style peaked in the middle just scaled down in size.

and the EK grille is now OUT , by the looks of it in proportion Id like it to go another bar lower and peak in the middle along with the bumper .
Id also like to square up the angle of the bonnet when facing it . The reflection dead straight head on is warped and Id like to correct it but its hard to do..

With the amount of customising happening a custom grill would fit the bill. Looking good Harko.

i agree. if you ran with an ek grille i think it would look like a "ran out of time/ inspiration/ idea's" situation.parisian62 wrote:With the amount of customising happening a custom grill would fit the bill. Looking good Harko.
with your skills i'm sure you'll come up with something amazing that is not original but looks like it could've been.
cheers, luke.
