after seeing what you've done so far Harko..I think 'rookie' is the wrong word..I'd use 'professional' ..

Oh shucks Sputz

OK passenger side guard split widened and finish welded then ground , I also finish welded the wheel arch mods , headlight area and any other areas that needed it , also closed up a fatigue crack.
Take note of how the scutlle is shorter ... any comments

Harko - park it next to a stocker and see how it looks , too subtle on photos ,................. - I can see where you are coming from but pictures cant tell the full story.
BTW - how is Belinda going ?
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Cheers Aiden 8) 8)

It was a little tongue in cheek because its the exact same width as a stocker unless its bolted up  The angles in the pics are all loose so dont look at them YET .

Belinda had kids and dropped the ball as it seems
Her youngest in just over 1 now and although she plays her Country at functions around the Illawarra ,No more CDs are in the pipeline just yet .
But hang in there Blacky my hit prediction is she will find her roots once the kids are needing a little less controll and will then embrace her passion even better .

I have to agree with Blacky on this, Harko. :) The coupe looks wider to start with as it's been chopped! You'de need to park it next to another stocker to see the difference. WE know it's wider as we have seen the amount of work you've done.
I've had a brainstorm on grill & tail light design (in my head at the moment...not on paper) it's very custom but would require more welding...especially in the arse!! Sort of an ode to Darryl Starbird. I'll try to put it on paper...but don't think you HAVE to do it ..OK!

Scotty.

P.S. The measurement from peak to peak on my guards at the mo is about 25 feet!  one's on the car and the other is being repaired at the other end of the shed!

OK for the purposes of a test I dropped an old guard on , Now I dunno if you guys can see it but I do and I am bloody stoked with the look and difference it makes TO ME .very subtle I know .
If you put your eye on the panel the blinker chrome bolts to you will see the headlight is now towards the outside no towards the centre as the blue guard is

I remember years ago thinking "How tough is Fizpatricks FC"
Why did it look so much tougher than other FCs ,
Its the little differences that dont command or attract your attention that make the overall appeal , I guess thats my philosiphy on this build .
Tweaking things here and there to emphasise shape.
