The chrome hasn't been done yet....I put the front bits on just to tart it up a bit for some folk that came around to check it out.EK283 wrote: Where was the chrome done and is it a good job?
My EK resto job UPDATED
Hi guys thought I'd let you know that this awesome EK now lives in my garage. It's slowly coming together and should be ready by Xmas. So far I've done the brakes, put new shocks in, and numerous other little jobs like new engine mounts, painting the steering column, and repairing the fuel tank. Just sent the chrome off to Electroplating Technologies at Queanbeyan and all the Stainless has gone to Alan McCoy in Sydney. Hopefully the interior should go off next week to 'A Stitch in Time' in Sydney as I've heard some good things about them. I'll keep posting here on it's progress and any feedback from the Stainless and Re-Chrome.

Hi all, As mentioned in the last post, i was getting the chrome re-done at Electroplating Technologies in Quenabeyan. Finally got it back on Friday and the job is AMAZING, some of the stuff i sent down was awful and eveything has come back like new. It was all triple plated and I'm still yet to find any sanding marks or any imperfections what so ever. I'm really happy with the job and would strongly recommend these guys to everyone. I'll post some pics of the chrome shortly. I've lately had a change of heart and decided to put a few more coats of paint on the car, so it may be a while before it al comes together, stay tuned
