My EK resto job UPDATED

Post by gt »

Just thought I'd put up a few pics of my EK. I purchased it in 1988 and drove it around for the next 8 years and retired it in 1996. I decided to do a "nut & bolt" resto on the old girl and ..........10 years later.........I can finally see where I've been. The last 4 weeks has been hectic after picking up all the bolt on panels from the blaster on the 16/12/05 I have now panel beated, edged and fitted them and currently rubbing it all back for the final top coat.

Hi,

Have a look at my EK:

It looks quite similar to mine.

Mine is Seaforth Green, what colour/code is your EK?? what year model is it?

Cheers Pete

P.S: make sure you post up photos of finished project :D

this might sound a stupid question but I thought the firewall was painted the body colour down to the seam then it was painted black down from the that? Nice green though, what colour is it called?

UPDATE....It's finally painted 8) and just needs to be rubbed down and buffed  ... I hate that bit.
Got some new cheese cutters fitted, new headlining, NOS seat trims front and back, new exhaust, new rubbers for everything...... and so the real frustration begins

I painted it the same as all the others I've looked at.
Can anyone confirm?
