Cheers on the posts Fellow FBer's & Eker's.

Thommo, thanks mate ....... starting to feel more confident about getting to S.A. to cruise to Bendigo with your Club as planned 8) 8) , still a lonnnnngggg way to go but there is a dim (very dim) light at the end of the tunnel

Body is going into paint this coming week, so have a few quick bits to finish off, Rick (the gun painter) is coming over Sunday to check it over (and probably add to the list  ) before it is delivered to him to wave his magic over it. Guards, doors, boot, bonnet, scuttle panel etc... are with Rick already and basically ready for topcoat.

I cut out the section for the Ducted A/C unit, used a different one to Mal so I could retain the original wiper motor under the bonnet (just something I wanted to do  ).

Old and new sections:

Also welded up all the holes I don't need:

The 2 pack has been applied underneath, I went with a Charcoal/Gunmetal Grey colour, hoping this will contrast well with the Gloss black Torana frontend, tailshaft, trans mount etc.... Looks a lot darker in this pic

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I have finished the rear seat mods prior to upholstery (to get around the tubs):

I moved the handbrake pulley about 20mm (in the engine bay) to give another poofteenth clearance on the "new exhaust manifolds":

Ducted A/C facia mounting plates done:

Seat belt mounts finished - this is the top mount for the rear, recoil is snuggled under the modified rear seat back rest:

Cheers for the posts!!

Paint progress ................ This is after body repairs, smoothing fire wall but still retaining "original" pressings, sanding, more sanding, then applying De-oxidante by brush and removing with metho, applying etch and light rub back a 2-pack epoxy primer over, will be double baked then blocked back and have next primer stage with guide coat, blocked again ...... if all good then Colour next week!!

bloody hell V8EK4US - the rate this project is moving you must be an insomniac - or do you do it in your sleep    , but like others I follow the updates with amazement.
