I see you have thinned out the vertical piece of front guard alongside the grille 
That is the one unattractive part of a FB or EK IMHO.
It just doesn't flow with anything.
I think GMH designers tried to cover it on the EK's with the blinker assembly.
Have you looked at 50's buick's, packards, oldsmobiles for bumper ideas!
I think it would be better to pick a bumper of a less desirable / more uncommon model,
it will be much harder for most to guess where it came from

Good one thommo ,I hadnt thought any more about it ,only that I want to thicken it upwards and give it some flow .....
