Unfortunately the vents were rusted. One of them maybe salvageable but not much left of the other one.

found these on ebay. S/Steel reproduction. They look to be fairly well made.

Fancy farmer or tradie must have had that ute. Must have been the boss cocky’s car. Nice score.

You going to knock a vent up on Vulcan? Seriously though someone like Pete Mallaby should start making these. The repro ones weren’t cheap last time I looked.

you would think these days they would be a piece of piss to 3D print
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

They definitely could be 3D printed. They wouldnt be that hard to fabricate from scratch either but the time it would take to make a one off pair wouldn't be worth it for me. Different if you were to make a batch of them.

I always thought that the sun visor that came loose with my donor ute was actually off the ute as it is the same colour and the roof has the holes drilled in it. Turns out the brackets are a different profile and don't fit. Tried them on sedan roof and they fit perfectly.
So, anyone out there want to swap ute brackets for sedan brackets ? Also need the drivers side s/steel corner trim which is missing.

Also,
Is there a way of removing the aluminium trim without destroying it ? I want to take it off so it can be polished and to paint the visor.

Beware of what is under the trim. A little surface rust is the edge the more underneath.
This is my visor that will go back on Ammo's ute.

What looked to be fairly single repair to start with so I have patched on the inside but have yet to decide what to do on the edge.
I hand rubbed the trim to remove the corrosion with a view to anodise it but still in a raw state at the moment.
Cheers,
Roger
