Ya gotta be happy when what you think is a major disaster turns out to be a simple fix
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

V good P

When I was a lad a mate had an EH wagon used to jump out of top. This was the remedy. 200km later, no issues.Image

That'll do it.

Have you tried it without the strap since you got it running smooth again?

Hopefully a simple fix when you get home ...check your engine/gearbox mounts
...or you may need a couple of washers to put more tension on the selector shaft springs

My ute did that on the way home from Mudgee , jumped out of top several times between Balladonia and Kalgoorlie - used the tried and true method of hanging the wifes handbag off the gearstick , adjusted the linkages when I got home and its been good ever since .........
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

8km. Thanks good advice boys (and girls). Drove few Kay's slow and didn't pop out but not s proper test I feel. Brett Tranter from QLD club swears you can re-train them by resting your arm on lever top.

Meranti edition cruise control set to 67kmh driving the Hay Plain post dusk. Carton of good dtuff by my side. No roos yet. Just realised this is it. My dream come true. Grateful though I am to all have shown me considerable hospitality and more, how glad am I to see the back of the East Coast? Bring on the Mallee!

Good one Clay !!!

Sorry I couldn't meet up with you, maybe next time.

The broken rocker gear was in a way a blessing, nothing like whipping the cover off and seeing that ! Easy fix.

I've lived in Sydney all my life and I can tell you I'm over it big time, its lost its feel and most people's conversation revolves around how much their property is worth !!!

Any way good luck with the rest of the trip.

Willie Nelson and John Denver lyrics keep springing to mind.

Ya can't get fish n chips here! Pizza will have to do though I'd rather have a countery at the front bar. Will wait a couple of weeks for that.Image

Going by that pic, I would be more worried that you have ran out of fuel looking at the gauge...

You are making great progress Clay and more importantly, enjoying the ride. Good to see.

Yer but the song says five miles…
80 chains in a mile
66ft in a chain
12inches in a foot
An inch is about 25.400000000000000000000000000000mm
Do the maths 8046720mm
Sitting in a motel room nothing better to do…….
8 )
8 )
8 )
