took the tail lights off and spent a fair bit of time sanding the body - lots more to go.

contacted a tonneau maker and will probably get a blank made up and then I'll put in common sense fasteners along the front and eyelets on sides and back and run ridiculously long stretch cord (same as it was)

stuck some rubber on the tail light access panels

Hey Patrick
Not sure where you plan to get your cover from but I got my tonneau cover off eBay and was very happy with it. You can order it with a variety of fixings. That would allow you to eliminate that bungee cord set up which looks a bit odd! Keep up the good work.

Regards
Stephen

Hi Stephen, yeah, I've looked at all the options and was thinking of getting rid of the stretch cord; but, the missus said nah. Patrick

I have some vinyl from SMS if you want to get one made - it’s as close as I could get to the original grain

the windscreen on the ute was scratched when I got it (but there was a spare windscreen all wrapped up in the tray). I ended up with a third windscreen (which was scratched) when I bought windscreen chrome and other bits (and the guy said part of the deal was I take the screen).

anyway, I unwrapped what I thought would be a good windscreen yesterday and it's also scratched

three of them to get rid of

Had some good weather so put the screens in (with the help of my son). We fought a bit with the stiff rubber on the rear one so the front was almost a pleasure. I'll make up a centre cover tomorrow out of a spare bottom corner.

Well done. I had it the other way. Did the front first and found it tricky then the rear was easier.
