Hi Clay,Errol62 wrote: Mon May 18, 2020 9:24 pm Gee thanks fellas. Rob, all this activity is aimed at being ready when the trimmer has the head lining ready to go.
Will you be putting anything up between the roof and head lining? I'm tempted to stick something up there (eventually) but don't want anything to be able to trap moisture or peel off and hit the head lining.
thanks
Patrick
Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Using a sound deadening anti drum type adhesive sheet similar to the dynamat that everyone seems to use. Previously I stripped inside the roof and painted with Epotec 2k etch prime. I'll be doing it soon.

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Hi Clay - I see your sound mat is heat rated to 130 degrees so should be okay.
I was asking because I've got some stuff in the Sprinter that's been interesting. In my air compressor box under the van it has fallen off the upper surface and in some storage areas in the van (eg. under seat), the black stuff runs and sticks to my sandwich bags of spare parts. These places aren't above the exhaust.
I might have to grab some of the heat rated stuff - I had been thinking of some of this deadening with masonite between it and the headlining.
Patrick
Here's the left overs in the shed...the corner with the runny stuff was in the box, closest to the shed wall

Ordered super spot posts (lift a dot knock off) from Paskal over the phone. Good to deal with. They are at Clayton Vic. $60 for 20 posts delivered. Rivnut gun will be next.
Spoke to Luke? At Sonic Injection to secure a set of X2 header flanges. Very good to deal with as well.
The other thing I got from Melbourne today but didn't order, is their frigging weather!
