I ordered some model aircraft radio gear from Moruya, NSW (to Melbourne)... they use Fastway... the first shipment came in two days and was left on our porch, the second consignment went missing.... I phoned the Moruya store after the week and they did a track... came back to me the next day telling me my consignment was on its way back to them.... reason "no one home to receive parcel"... neither of the two packages were dispatched with a receipt requirement.... grrrrr

I paid Aust Post the $13 for an overnight delivery on the third package - to replace the missing second one.... grrrrr like you, Neil - never again.

Hey Blacky;
I agree about brining the back down a bit, might wait until after rego and then drop it an inch or two.

Looks great in the sun Neil.

Poor Munro !!! Balance the ute a bit more to the rear and get the trailer to carry the load.

You are nearly there and what a great effort, well done.

Ok - no offence intended... hope you do not take any.
I have at times a lateral way of reading things..... I noted your username as "FireKraka"... and immediately, I believed it may have been bestowed upon you by either your work colleagues, boss or apprentices under you (if this is the case)...

My assumption, if this nick-name accolation is correct, follows the path of "GOLA"..... "Goes Off Like A"... FireKracka...

Good one Rosco and you could say I have a very short fuse or used to have, I have tended to soften it a bit as I've gotten older  it does also refer to my FC sedan, years ago I was chasing a mates V8 VH dunnydoor and staying right behind him, when we pulled up at the pub he said the FC went off like a firecracka so it is also the FC's nickname.

Picked 'Frankenstein' up from his surgery this morning and Dean at Mandurah Performance Exhaust did a great job.

Now for some reason Frank has chucked a wobbly and won't start at all so had to hand winch him onto the bloddy trailer   bastards playing games with me :x , sounded like he had no spark, just another niggle to sort out, if he's not carful I'll put those jumper leads back on his bolts and wait for a lightning stike

By cripes, those blokes did an amazing job with the exhaust...
Frank might be too frightened to go "boo" in it... or, the exhaust fitters have stuffed something up you can't see and want you to take it home to find it... tell you that it must have happened on the trailer...
Something simple, my guess... something has got knocked or failed to be connected/came loose in the exhaust fitting process..

Undoubtedly, we'll read what this "mystery" was - when it is found..

Another page done... what's next...

Yes, appreciate the FC root for your username... just thought I'd throw up what came to mind when I read it...
I was nick named "711" at one stage when I was working.... "never closes".... my mouth, that is.... stopped getting that when I became an instructor.. they were very keep to "listen" then... and I was elevated to "Mother"... as in "hen"... mothered every one of my students... never had a failure in my entire instructional career...

Just got back from a job on a ship in Albany so hopefully I can sort out the no go issue with Frank this weekend  I'm thinking now it may be the fuel pump, I've checked and I have spark so can't be too much else can it

Maybe if I talk nice to Frank he might tell me what is going on instead of me cursing at him

I have Matt the auto elect coming back Wednesday to sort out the neutral saftey and the reverse lights and would really like to be able to start Frank to prove some other stuff so see how I g

Well I had a very good and at the same time frustrating weekend.
I had all intentions of putting Frank up on car stands so that I could get underneath and see if I could hear the fuel pump running and at worse case scenario having to pull the pump.

I jacked the back up and put it on the stands and thought I would just give it a try before I went any deeper and bugger me dead Frank started :wtf: :wtf: and Idled (sort of) so I turned him off, put the back down on the ground and Frank has started every time since I had to adjust the idle up a bit so he would keep idling I put this down to the cam and the standard Delco ecu.

So then I though I had better take him out on the street (benefit of living semi rural) to see if it was going to behave or shutdown like it had been and I was very surprised and happy that I was able to go down the road (3 Ks) without any great deal of problems, it did stall a couple of times when I was stopping to turn the corner etc. but as I've said I think this is more of a tuning problem than anything.

I got back and found that the engine had over heated and though shit what now only to find after it had cooled down that it had had an air lock and that this was the first time I had been able to run it long enough to get it up to temperature to get the thermostat to open.

As I said it is frustrating because I don't know why it wouldn't start for all the times I tried but I am happy that it is running pretty well at the moment and dean did a great job on the exhaust and it sounds pretty good even if it is a V6

So the auto electrician is coming Wednesday to sort out the neutral safety and the reverse lights and I will start to think of engineer approval, wheel alignment, dyno and having it weighed
