funny that J the one i mentioned padock bashing was red
i have rolled one aswell but that was driving on a dirt road my first registered car i didn't have a license though
I know the guy that owns the Running on Red Empty EK/FB he is in Penrith, his names Val he's a Cool Guy he used to own a yellow 57 Chev - He also has the Black 57 from Running on Empty as well,
There is a company called Movie Cars Australia where you can sometimes pick up these cars James
From what I've read, the EK he owns is a replica of the Running on Empty EK, not the real thing.
From another forum....
Hi everyone, just thought I would let you all know that I own the '57 2 door out of Running On Empty, the Rammer and a copy of the EK. The Chev was blown in the movie as per cut out of the bonnet but was not sold after the movie with engine(ended up in a green '55 Chev 4 door with huge rubber), I did have it blown for a while but had too much trouble with the engine. It is under a major rebuild as I speak but can only do as much as my finances allow me. The Rammer is a basket case but can be repaired but someone has ended up with the front sheet metal, has had an interior fire at some stage(needs lots of TLC). The EK is a clone as I talked to the guy who bought it after the movie at an FB-EK club meeting who told me he threw it away as it was too rusty and was going to redo a copy but with a V8 but it never got done. Sorry about the letter everyone but I had to say my peace, thanks Val
Gazard Boyz Ek lives in orange now. In pretty good nik concidering it has a new body. Everything from the original rusted out body is back in it. "Everything". The new owner that owns it Pete is taking it to the reunion this year. He's a good bloke and has brought many a sad holden back from the dead.
Lots of old hotties live in this neck of the woods.
Car is exactly like it looks on the film, same interior same speaker covers on parcel shelf. Same hood bulge with grille .
Same wheels stance and paint.
Yeah stopped a few times for pics with mine...

some of the stuff out of the interior was stolen when I had it , be interesting to see some recent photos of it to see how close to the original he has made it .
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

yeah i know Mick , have spoken to Val but old mate above was saying the new owner has done a heap of work on it to make it closer to the original - as you know it is reasonably close but still has away to go to a true clone
