Got all my bits and pieces to do door channels, weather strips, door seals, front and rear quarter windows, main door windows and mechanisms and all mouldings....
Quote from a previous post;
"The original rubber seal on the upright post for the quarter window was backed by a steel strip that had 'teeth' that clipped into the post. When I fitted new rares rubbers a couple of years ago I was told to remove the steel strip with 'teeth' and glue the new rubber straight to the upright post"
Ok...I've got the whole removal install thing with the quarter window and the C shaped seal. Its the upright channel seal that has me asking the question. The seal (rare spares seal vent front pillar 48 FJ FE FC FB EK 7408797) just does not look right and to simply glue it into the channel after removing the steel strip doesn't look correct. The seal is too narrow to fit into the channel?
