I have to agree with you Ratbox.

If they changed the shape of the body and made it 3 ton lighter, made the body panels from steel instead of fibreglass, changed the instrument cluster so it has rounded style guages and fitted sport style seats, then maybe it would be an alright car.
I'm sorry to all the corvette lovers as well, cause I have the same opinion of those execpt for the 53 to 64 models, where they had some class to the shape, all prior to the door stopper shape.

Hey John,

Thats a bit harsh coming from someone who used to rate a MAZDA! as a great car  :D :D :D :D :D

I still remember when the workshop at Smithfield had nothing but jap stuff and gasp an ALFA ROMEO.
Thank god you saw the light and bought a HOLDEN

So Harko, are you going to be doing anything to it this weekend?
Hows that energy level going? Don't overstress that right hand pointer finger either, you'll be needing that for taking pics.

Who are you thinking of doing the interior for you? I can reccomend a really good guy at Nurioopta, Stateside Trim. Ive seen a few cars he has done, and seen his work with that metal flake dodgemcar vynal your talking about too. Pretty damm cool. Couple of the cars he's done have been in Cruzin' magazene too. Good bloke, very profesional.

My old man sold one years ago and it went down to Nurioopta ,It was chocolate brown then ....

Id like to do the upholstery myself ,I bought an industrial jobbie about a year ago but time is money hey ..

Oh God Don't start me on the Leylands. Just because I own a mini clubman as well, I feel I have the right to speak out.
AND:
Theres only one good thing about a P76, is that it comes before P77
No seriously Redgold the off the topic map is awsome, I like it that much I will have to copy it and post it in the workshop. If you approve of course.
And Greg, remember those little Mazdas I was racing were V8 beaters, and the Italian Stallion Alfa! well ummm: "it wasn't mine its was Hubba's", honestly I was just the poor bugger who had to set it up for him, nethertheless it was all fun. But no where near the fun as the LJ Torana Sports Sedan. Gee 20 Years ago seems such a long time.

I actually like the P76  , but I've never seen one done up to there full potential, with those big rear quarters they need big rubber, and a bigger V8, 260 ci just dos'nt make the grade, Trev 8) .
