hi steve

details are...body EK/225-213M
trim 712-965
paint 585-4582
top 585-0246

I'll have to get the engine number, it's not in the car but i think it's not the original because the front end is fb.

Hi Guys.

I couldn't resist commenting on the 333 stamp on the early FB van.

It could be a continuation of the option code 333 from the FE/FC days.

FE/FC panel van upper tailgates did not get glass as standard, they had a plain steel body-coloured panel fitted instead. RPO 333 was the option number for glass to be fitted. It must have been very popular, in my lifetime I've only seen a handful of these vans with the steel panel. Nearly all surviving FE/FC vans have a glass upper tailgate & 333 on the body plate. As a matter of fact the earlier body plate had provision for the RPO to be stamped but the later FCs just had it stamped in the lower RH corner of the plate, just like the FB in the picture.

I'm not sure if GM-H ever intended the steel/glass upper tailgate thing to continue into FB with RPO 333 still available. But it is possible as this car is a very early p/van.

Will do Tim,
Its down near the dipstick right?
Also would not be surprised if engine has been changed, given it came from a police impound, no id plate, and overspray on rear window.
Would not be surprised if it's not even original colour.

Can anyone help with some history on this EK Special? I purchased it in May 2012 from Pakenham and it featured in the forum Re: GMH Body Id Plate, Chassis & engine No ..... Please post. The following links show the pictures posted.

Can anyone help with some history on this EK Special? This is my second post due to me making an error in the first post.

Oooops! I had a third link 1114 in my first post- this is not my car - I was too quick on the trigger - mine looks like this car but without spats and aerial. If this is yours EKfanPaul2, my apologies for the mistake.

Any information on its history would be greatly appreciated.

Went and checked out a wagon on Perth Gumtree today down past Mandurah. No pics because potobucket is a heap sh@# now they changed it. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/wannanup ... 1014971334
Fairly much original with a few touch ups on it. Rust in the usual spots bottom of doors, lower rear 1/4s, front passenger chassis out rigger repaired, driver floor patched rest of floor has pin holes scattered thru out, rust hole on underside of head light brow, Cills look solid but cant tell for sure. Subframe rear brace needs major work to the drivers side. Complete car partly dismantled
One for your list of Perth cars MeFB

EK229-3332A
741-1051
585-9931
585-0246

Subframe 6631P from what I can remember.
