GMH Body Id Plate, Chassis & engine No ..... Please post.

Hi Steve, I have a mate in Sydney that has just taken possession of an EK ute from a close friend who recently passed away. The ute came with 2 ID tags in the glovebox and he wants to know the right one to put back on. If you can give me the paint colour from these tags would be a big help

First Tag paint code is Kiewa Grey Fleet Colour "snowy Mountains Scheme" Vic Electricity

Second tag is Seagull Grey.

Hope the ute is Kiewa

I could have sworn that EK sedan in pakenham was Marine blue like mine but it is Shalimar blue.

It stands for Hydra-Matic. It's one of the many different ways the various plants identified EK automatics.

I've seen H (as above), A & AUT (all after the body style number). Others have RPO 478 A (B, C or D) lower down on the plate. So much for uniformity !!!

Picked this poor ol girl up yesterday. Saved it from being cut up. I would like to try and finish what was started of the 2 door conversion. Dont have the subframe but am going to search for one.





Coincidentally the build numbers are exactly 600 apart
