Would love to know the history on this one.
You would think there would be some documentation, or someone that worked there at the time, that was still around.

4. Golf Ball Hood Lining.
5. Three chromed clamps on inner top of windscreen ?
6. Power Steering
7. White steering wheel.
8. Radio
9. Heater / Dimister
10. Two speed whipers.
11. Dual Horns.
13. Washer Wipers.
14. Door Arm rests front and rear.
15. Seat Arm rests front and rear.
16. Cloth seats.
17. Carpet.
18. Glovebox light.
19. Boot Light.
20. Chrome door scuff plates.
21. Thumb press dress rims.
22. Power Boosted brakes.
23. EJ style "low coil mount" side plate
24. EJ "top ledge" radiator.
25. Alloy Rocker cover (was painted metallic Red and Gold with Metallic Green oil cap)
26. Day / Night mirror.
Without being next to the car, can't think of anything else
The car was in the centre of Melbourne since 1975 (Near Victoria Markets) That's where I picked the EK up.
Car was registered May 3 1961 for Harlow W Gage, General Manager of Holden with plate GMH-000. The current plates (HNW-456) were fitted 15 May 1962.

T'is a shame the normal every day Joe or Jill could'nt option all these accessories when ordering their new EK in 61/62, but had to wait for the EJ to come out.
I'm dying to see this car up close at the Nat's this year.
Scotty.

I hear you Scotty, I guess the MD wanted something special compared to the average Joe
You didn't have to wait for the Nationals. Thanks for dropping by the shed with Pete.

Thanks Rob!
THE "EK" HOLDEN 50TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION - 50 Golden Years.
At Trax we're celebrating 50 Golden Years of the EK Holden in a very unique way. The EK Premier is the type of car that urban myths are made of and so far there are four different versions of how this came about. We do know it was first registered with GMH-000, a plate reserved for the MD of Holden at the time. We also know it was packed full of the options reserved for what was the upcoming EJ Premier. Either way, released in original Euroa Gold metallic, this car is perfect for the Gold Anniversary of one of our most treasured models in Aussie motoring history.
Fact or Fiction - The New Trax EK Premier
Trax has unearthed the rarest EK variant to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the 1961 EK Holden. Stories abound as to the authenticity of the original car, making this release one of the most controversial models undertaken by Top Gear.
There are at least four different versions of how the car came about and you can read all about it in the catalogue we have mailed you today. The EK Premier has been labelled a show car, a test car, a specially ordered vehicle for the then Director of Holden, or my favourite, a vehicle that was made using parts from the new EJ Premier because GM had run out of EK Special stock.
Either way, the real car does exist and to celebrate the Golden Anniversary of the EK Holden, we have recreated this model in its original Euroa Gold metallic.
Enjoy the Ride,
Brett Jacobson

Re: *** Holden EK 1961 Premier Prototype Euroa Gold Metallic
At the All Holden Day I spoke to Barry Campany, Barry informed me that a lot of the ideas for the Gold EK came from the Chev Impala 1961.
Here is a comparison with the colour
"Fawn Beige Metallic"
