it is sad but it did save some other cars, so I guess there is some consolation in that but not much.

I should have known better selling it to who I did. I was amazed he managed to get as far as putting the hemi in it, let alone getting it to run.

Still sills are repairable and it WAS a good driver. Some people just take the easy way out..... He now gets around in a new commondore ute.

The amount of fun had with that car is hard to forget though. I entered the spring car nats and it turned more heads than alot of big dollar cars, even after they new it was a stock grey! 8) 8) And never once was pulled over by the cops....

If you really want to fit one, just remember it will wear your engine out a whole heap faster than normal. Flushing raw fuel through a motor for prolonged periods cannot be good for the cylinder walls...

Now as to fitting, if you buy a kit its easy. Find a spot to hide the switch to actuate the flamethrower ( I suggest a stealthy install as they may not be legal for road use). The kit comes with nuts for the spark plug in the exhaust, so drill a hole then weld the nut on. The instructions give you minimum and mxaimum mounting points (remember to get it up as high as possible so it cn't be seen from behind). Get a spark plug and lead and follow the instructions, it doesnt take long at all.

Hey Devilrod been away had missed this post I am shocked to learn that this car got wrecked. The guy that owned it lived up in Brisbane for a while (cant remember his name)about 4-5 years and used to get around in it. I remember being taken for a ride in it and blowin off a V8 commodore (after he put a 265 hemi in it). Then his job sent him down to Sydney the last time I spoke to him he was living in Bondi Beach amused by backpacking chicks. I guess the beach life took it which surprised me as he seemed really passionate about that car. The gold coast is still killing cars people buy $10000 dollar FB EK's and take them to the beach and before you know it they are full of rust .I guess its always been the way UNFORTUNATLY!!!!!!

Yeah that would have been Travis for sure. He got himself a woman and a job in the snowfields at Jindabine and seems to be still in that area last I heard. He did some good work on the ol' girl and was shattered to find out what happened to it.

I've owned an AP6 with a worked 265, V8 Commodore's never caused me any trouble  .
At one stage I was thinking of the 265 as a swap for the red in my car, but all I want to do is cruze and keep it on the road, garanteed it would have been off the road for far too long with that swap  , Trev 8) .

Mainly VG coupes and sedans still would not mind a VF sedan. That EK wagon I got should throw a hemi in. Mind you I keep forgeting about the 59 chev with a 327 which I have only stopped using a daily driver. MMM think thinking about a hemi 8) 8)

The tattoo thing is hard so many designs you want not enough time. I keep saying to wife 'I got three pin up girls do you think I get just one more' I am 34 did not get my first tattoo until I was 25 a rocket ship now its surrounded by all soughts of 50's related sci fi including a robot driving a 32 &*#@. I guessing you know how it is being like minded. I also prefer things when its uncool. Its seems that young people today are into everything not just one thing. Maybe I should give up complaining. NAH!!!!!

Personally I love Tat's, but I just can't justify spending money on them when it could be money spent buying stuff for the project wagon.
Anyone want to practice tattooing? I'm up for it (as long as your a half decent artist) , Trev 8) .

I too have the same dilemma Trev, any spare cash goes into the cars! Planning a few changes on the roadster over the Chrissy break just hope I can get it all done on a very limited budget.....
