Re: EK morphs into pillarless Coupe .
So you found a parcel shelf?
Re: EK morphs into pillarless Coupe .
Not yet Stygian ,Its driving me nuts.
Got the wipers working from inside the firewall today ,cant beleive how easy it all worked out , I used a VN motor cut the arm and welded the other half of the EK arm to it at the same length the EK was , made some brackets to mount the centre point of the armature in the same postition it was previousely from the outside and it works realy well.
Ive still got a couple of things left untill the parcel shelf will hold me up with tank and seat fitment ,seat belts etc .
Ive been playing with the 58 Chev a little on the side and its great fun ,

Harko,
I have a parcel shelf here, although not 100% whether i'm going to need it or not just yet. If not, its all yours mate. I can't be assed to look all through the thread, was yours rusty? Or did you have to move it when you did the chop?

Re: EK morphs into pillarless Coupe .
Sorry Nathan I hadnt taken a photo of the setup yet ,and thanks for the heads up deadsled its a shame I need the gutter rail attatched .
A long time between drinks but heres an update .
An inch either side by pushing out the quarters.
This acheives two things .
1.It brings the fins across closer to a straight line through the bodyline . You will remember Ive added an inch spread in the headlight section of the guards ,and also sucked in the pillar to streamline the flow better.
2. It helps towards fitting 2/3rds of an untapered 57 chevy boot lid .
Note the profile of the EK lid (Top) and 57 lid (bottom)
The taper on the EK lid will be deleted and blended. The ek forward section has to be blended into the 57 lid because it matches the rear window profile.
This is a photoshopped image to show loosely how it will appear.
The new floor is pictured prior to welding in position.
