Re: MMMMM………..
Thanks spanners. Did the same with HTG rims. Got three choices already for the ute and van with LC width rear axles, as well as a couple for the stock width sedan. So the Tasmans can go on the shelf for a while. Also got a set of the ROK Decorative Centre pre-Tasman rims.

Re: Clay’s Wedgewood Blue FB Ute
Got my mate Simon to help me put the canopy on the ute. Well, the thing is out the way for now. Doesn’t really gel with the boy racer theme. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20260222/69a07902ba7bc800272c63a3dff67ec0.jpg

Re: The loooonnng term EK 2 door project
I thought the same when I did the ute Scotty.
Saving some weight I suppose. Years ago a mate had this EK he cut metal out everywhere to lighten it. Had a GTS 186S and Saginaw box Volvo diff. It went.

Torana front end
Having set it thus Greg, you are able to achieve +4 caster? Sure, that is the main consideration, rake wise.

Got all the rubber in place ready to flip over and put it on the ute. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20260222/6112b4d70c991bfe4a6edb560b51ff40.jpg

Re: MMMMM………..
I see BCI sell chrome 14x7” in +12 o/s. I could buy a pair of these and cut the centres out then weld in my Tasmans. They are $238 each. Aaron said they need to be zinc based plate, not copper, which they should be, having been welded already. I’d probably $*#@ the chrome anyway. Expensive gamble ...

Re: MMMMM………..
That’s not very encouraging for my Tasmans. I can probably work with the existing 6” rims neg 3mm offset. 225s should work on the LC width diff, with 175s on the front to avoid guard rubbing.

Re: MMMMM………..
Today I spoke to Aaron at extensive wheel services here in Adelaide at Mile End about renovating my 14” mkI Tasmans. Not very keen on the idea he was. He sees a a problem in getting rims chromed for a start. Then there is the possibility of centres being unserviceable once removed from the original ...

I don’t think they actually manufacture anything, just source and sell.
