Re: FB Standard Wagon
To calibrate the fuel gauge black box, I drew to lines on a board at a distance apart that was the depth of the fuel tank.
With these representing the top and bottom of the tank, you can lay the sender down and use the top, the bottom and half way positions of the float to calibrate. You can do this ...

Re: Fuel Sender Unit Bolts leaking
l just went through this in an fx.
New rares sender and rubber gasket installed.
Started with fumes, then major leak with full tank.
Removed rubber gasket and found it perished and car isn't even registered yet.
Replaced with "paper" gasket and "goo" and all seems OK now.
Oh, and I had to clean the ...

Re: FB Special project
Leave the visor mounting screws in the body before fitting the headliner.
Tap the tops with a hammer will create the opening in the material to fit the visor.
ie. All the holes are cut after its fitted.

Re: harvs ek 327 wagon
Re Ackerman, with a front mount rack and front steering arms I can't see how you can get correct Ackerman anyway?
Shorter arms would help the turning problem, but sorting out bump steer is another matter.

Re: harvs ek 327 wagon
I would have thought that shorter steering arms would reduce your turns lock to lock and the responsiveness?
Perhaps experiment with them, early torana are short?

Re: VN Diff Shortening
Just wondering if any of these changes put the pinion in the centre of the rear end, or is clearance with the tail-shaft tunnel not an issue?

Re: FB, HR F/E Power steering, Any updated info?
Second pic shows lining up rack ends with bottom pivot point.
I couldn't see how you can do this just by positioning the rack alone?
Then you mount the rack at the right height and you end up with about 1mm in bump.
Cheers.

If you're really keen and can be bothered
Make the front-end fit the rack, not the rack to fit the front-end!
This worked for me:
Rear mount vp commodore power rack
HR front-end modified to suit the rack:
Lower pivot points moved outboard to suit rack.
