I find it easier, as I hate trying to bolt up starter motors and bell housings in situ .
I did that with my red six... having a balance thingo for the engine crane helped, as you could tilt the enging and box in at a sharper angle and the level it as the box goes under the firewall.

I guess my real question is does anybody manage to use a stock accelerator linkage when they fit a red with a fan? Im happy enough with the engine position,though I may have to trim the firewall seam a little. Am I wasting my time trying to make the factory linkage work? http://i871.photobucket.com...
