I've got stainless steel sleeves on mine.

I then went and got a replica set of cups custom made in stainless steel as well. These weren't an expensive item, and made sure that these didnt pit either.

Stainless steel cups and sleeves - I havent had any troubles to date with my brakes with this type ...

Can anybody recommend a company that can restore period style radios?

My push button radio outta my FB (HMV from memory) is not working, and has seen better days. I was thinking of getting the internals overhauled.

Any recommendations ... NSW preferred, but of course I could mail it ...

as always, I did do a search before posting - but the search term "scratch plate" returned "624 results". I gave up after reading about 285 posts

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on different types of scratch-plates that I've seen over the last couple of years.

Some scratchplates have a pearl/frosted finish in the centre of them, and a polished chrome on the outside.

Some others seem to be chromed all over?
