Holden Art
Elsewhere on this forum I found drawings of an EJ Coupe and Nomad. I had done these drawings about 10 years ago and decided to hunt them out and scan the full set. Sorry only 1 is FB, but I think the rest would be of interest too.
How about introducing an art gallery in the Gallery?

Nice artwork
All but the Studebaker based custom, have been built or are in the stages of being built over the last 40odd years.
I personally like nothing better than designing and building a factory looking custom. That gets people asking if it was a forgotten concept vehicle.
Or part of a special order low run test to see if it was marketable
The HK two door has been done in two version that i know of, and were seen in custom versions at the Street Machine nationals in the early 80's
There is aversion of that EJ two door under construction now
The FC convert artwork is almost a perfect version of one that was built in the mid 60's in Kempsy
There is an FJ Woody on the Gold coast
There have been several two door Statesmans built, i did one in the mid 80's
Again there have been FB and EK soft tops built since the 60's
Two door FX and FJ have been part of Australian customising for 50 years
And Holden even worked on a very similar concept for the HR.
Keep drawing Alastair, as you have some great ideas and present them so well

I have seen one or two of this type of thing in Custon Rodder (Eddie &*#@ publication from Vic, Australia). Does any one out there have nice pictures that they can post on here for me to see. Would be nice to gather them up into a bit of a collection.
For me the best way to go is with the 'Factory look' approach.
Alastair.
P.S. I am a bit Holden starved here in South Africa. The last time I saw an FB on the road here, other than our own, was ten years ago. Seen two rough ones in that same time period

Just they way holden should have
No Aidan, not at allmy70wg wrote:similar to this thommo...
I'm talking factory paint, bench seat halved to make buckets, full factory jewellery, painted rims with stock caps, everything holden should have supplied us in the first place.
Just the way Alastair has beautifully drawn it, even down to the black & white paint with red interior.
TO POOF has gone to a lot of trouble to create that convertable, but
its not the way I'd like mine.
PS I think that plate says TOP OOF My mistake
Cheers
