new front engine mount, new front uni joint, rear uni joint is okay, suppose gearbox mounts could be a good idea too. what does everyone reckon? i think ill just take it to a mechanic and let him have the task of figuring it out, $*#@ it! lol
cheers, Jimmy

Have you checked for slop in the rear gearbox extension housing bush??
Is rear uni joint seated properly in the yoke/pinion flange??
If you have a spare usable tailshaft whack it in and start the process of elimination.
Rear engine/gearbox mounts would probably have to be pretty bad to cause a vibration............ what sort of vibration is it?? ( yeah, I know , it's as hard to describe a vibration as it is to diagnose it

)

yeah looks like its process of elimination, doesn't seem to be too much play from the gearbox. might start with harmonic balancer just to be sure...

Yep sometimes when you are stumped as to the cause of a problem you have to start looking in other areas.
Not sure whether a crook harmonic would cause a real bad vibration but maybe a cause of some vibration?

Haven't lost any of the weights of a rim?

nah it settles down at higher speeds so its not wheel balancing

i wouldnt totally rule it out because of that, i used to work at a tyre and wheel shop and sometimes at higher speed it was less noticble to a person that doesbt deal with it everyday

Yep, depends on the tyre and amount of out-of-balance of the wheel but wheels can vibrate along all sorts of driving speeds and come and go at varying speeds as well.
Don't discount it, eliminate it.

thats twice this week i've overlooked a simple solution! loose belt, but on the upside it got everyone's brain ticking! lol
