accelerator pedal removal

Post by EKjimmy »

might sound silly, but how do you take out the accelerator pedal on a hydramatic EK? i'm pulling up my carpet after the heater decided to piss water everywhere.
I've had a look around top and bottom but cant seem to get access to any nuts, bolts etc. There are two nuts welded onto the underside of the floor, but i cant find the associated bolts and i dont want to tear the rubber off the pedal in case its not supposed to be removed.
any help? thanks guys, jimmy

Gday Jimmy
There are two bolts from the inside of the cabin.
They will be beneath your carpet or underlay, one infront, one behiend.
It may be easier to reach under the car and disconnect the throttle lingage
from the bottom of the pedal first.
Cheers
Jeff

silly me, just didnt seem right to pull the carpet up FIRST. according to the previous owner, it wasn't necessary to have all the seat bolts....
