shaved door handles

can anyone help? i want to get some buttons to open my doors once i remove the handles, i have seen what looks like an electric button on the doors of an eh van in brisbane but can't find where to get them.

i need to get something soon while my vans at the panel shop.

Usually the buttons are just made by you out of some of the door or other steel. Make it inline with the mechanism that opens the door -this doesnt work on every car though, should on early holdens though.

Personally I dont see the point in shaving handles then replacing them with buttons but each to their own...!

you can buy shaved door handle kits from Autoloc which are available from the likes of Johns Rod and Custom, Rocket Industries or Autoloc thmeselves

thanks for the link fb1960, i've seen the kits but from what i can tell they don't come with the buttons to open them (except the on the remotes), i'm pretty sure you have to have a button to open it on the vehicle.

For registration, doors must have external mechanical activation.

Solenoids, for central locking.
nothing in the book about not being able to use them for locking and unlocking
buttons or your method to activate the door mec to open the doors

easy fix.
