gearbox removal

any tricks to removing a gearbox from a 138 grey ?
all visible bolts removed... and has moved about 10mm from engine.. but doesn't want to budge

O.K. - thats a good start :lol: more info please , is the gearbox off the dowels in the back of the block??
does it rotate on the input shaft ?

Another no brainer - is the starter motor removed ?

yes.. dowels clear... rotates... and starter removed !

hmmmmm , how hard have you tried reefing on it ? If its been in there for years maybe there is a groove or something worn in the spigot bush that is catching

No brainer #3 - dust cover off ?

one thing i have learnt when playing with these cars.. not to put all 140kgs behind it !
dust cover... ?

The flywheel dust cover that sits under the sump and in front of the flywheel - if its still on there you will have to pull REALLY hard to get the 'box out.

blacky, removed dust cover and it slid off nice and gently... thanks!
