Vacuum Washers

Post by horacey08 »

My FB sedan has vacuum washers fitted but they dont work properly.

When the button on the wiper control is pressed water comes out underneath the fuel pump (between where the vacuum line from the manifold enters and where the vacuum line to the wipers exits).

The hoses are connected as follows - hose from tee between fuel pump and wiper motor goes to inner pipe on wiper switch - hose from outer pipe on wiper switch goes to top of vacuum jar - hose from lower outlet on vacuum jar goes to a tee piece under the dash which goes to the squirters.

I have changed these around and swapped switches but still get the same result.

Can anyone help with this problem.

So the wipers won't work :(
but now you have water injection :D
I'd be filling the washer bottle with nitro

Tim

Thanks for the info - I'll just have to try and chase up another washer unit.

Water injection eh - a 138 with nitro will probably end up in 138 pieces.
