Enter the ID competition !!!! The latest cars still alive !

Post by Finny »

Do you have an FB or EK with a later number (or earlier number) than on the following list ??
Yours could be the last one of its type made !!!!!! :D :D :D :D 8) 8) 8) 8)

Just check your ID plate (or anyone elses that you find)
Identify your model (215, 219, 225, 229, 2104, 2106) its on the ID plate, on the firewall under the bonnet.
Identify the plant it was made at (A, M or S) its on the plate too.
Now look for the number that is between these and see if yours is higher (or lower) ?

Just post the details, or a picture, on this page as well http://www.fbekholden.com/forum/viewtop ... &start=210 to update the ID Plate list.

Some categories are still blank, If you have one you go to the top of the list.

And the current winners are ??????????? :D :D 8) 8)
List will be updated as new highest/lowest owners are identified.

Fantastic Mystery Prizes. 8) 8) 8)
In addition to having a true collectors item. :D :D :D
Will vary from state to state due to lottery legislations, so too many variables to put in here.

Should also do one for the lowest numbers / earliest first productions still alive.

But for now, back to the competition..................... Keep those entries rolling in

I love the prizes that Finny is awarding, for each of the lowest and highest of each style! Wish I could tell you, though Finny wants it to be a surprise!!!

Makes me want to go and buy FB No-1 just to win!!!

i'll throw a spanner in the works how do you know that over the years the subframe hasn't been changed then making it not the oldest/youngest car

having pulled apart SOOO many of these cars over the years (prolly more than anyone else on here) i've had MANY that you'de swear were original old cars but had had a couple of coats of paint amoungst other things over the years, so unless you can account for a cars complete life not just some bits of paper but knowing each owner such as rosco's car you never know what you have

True Ratbox, though, the whole idea on the whole, is to get some sort of sequence reading, an average of numbers to say ... a sub frame of 25,000-S maybe around December 1960 per say.

Also the highest ID tags will give us a clue of how many in SA, VIC and NSW of each body style were made. That then leading to the models rarity, etc.
