Subframe under body , What to use ?

Hi all ,Ive just finished repairing my subframe and will be looking at painting the underside this saturday but Im not sure what the best product is .

Ive done a search with no luck and Im currently working 14-15hrs a day which gives me no time to search through topics .

If anyone has a link or a product please .

My father in law is a panelbeater and they use paving paint. Its as cheap as chips , tough as nails and you can spray it on half an inch thick :D
I have used it on a few cars now and it works a treat.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Blacky does it have any issues with bonding to the previous paint, or painting over it down the track ?

I have never had any trouble with it sticking to old paint , havent tried to paint over it so I dunno about that - once its painted why would you need to do it again in something else ?

Thanks , Yeah the POR15 bothers me because its bonded in the grain very well so to speak , then if it gets damaged at all by say a rock thrown at it off the tyre it will split and actually hold water under the paint against the urface and actually causing rust , awesome stuff on the right application though.
Paving paint sounds OK but not sure yet .
I was realy after something that sound deadens the area from road noise aswell .

Blacky what happens to paving paint when its stone chipped ? Id imagine nothing because of its bonding powers .

Dunno Harko - I dont really take that much notice of whats going on under there to be honest. I never keep a car long enough to know the long term durability of paving paint.

If you are looking for sound deadener then body schutz (a 3M product ) works pretty good - I painted the underneath of a 1 tonner I built in it and the overspray on the floor of the shed was still there years later, couldnt get it off without resorting to nuclear weapons !

Harko, I used underbody deadner then left it for a few days and applied a 2 pack called "Ameron Amerlok". We use this in alloy boats for "non-slip" areas, sticks lick shit to a blanket and as slightly rubberized (very slighty, tough as nails) so it can take the knocks and stone chips for that matter.

Here is a pic of the under body with the "Ameron Amerlok" finish (Torrie frontend in straight 2 pack gloss), hope it helps..... reasonably priced too.

Harko, Wurth make a pretty good body deadener, rubberized as well. But its expensive.
and I have seen (but not used myself) Amerlok which Gary has used, is a similar product but not as rubbery.
