Scratch Plates

Post by strogger »

Recently came onto a set of FE/FC scratch plates, Included is the part number slip and a pic of what i think maybe the original packaging?

Part number is there for those with a master parts cattle-dog and an interest in this sort of stuff.

Anyway, a full set of NOS scratch plates.. 8) 8) 8) Happy with that.

markings

Hi Anthony,
I know when I pulled mine off to paint - they were all marked for each door as in fr fl rr and rl - like to know if there are different seriel numbers for each one or just for the set.

I can verify Tim's theory,
The guy we purchased these from said he bought the set for his FE/FC (I cant remember which he said.) in 1958 but never fitted them.

The paper slip with part number was in bag with plates but bag was open, could have been another slip for the front set..i presumed part number was for whole set. :? Interesting that Holden / Nasco would sell set in halves ?? Cant imagine to many rear sets being sold solo. But thanks for the info Tim, I love this kind of trivia.

Dee, No other markings on my plates other than LF, LR, RF, RR..

May get a chance to fit before Sunday and i take car out to Bigriggen 8) 8)

i didnt think of the commercials... Makes sense.

I wondered how long it would take to get someone to bite on the plate. I put them on like that for the photo for a giggle and see if the fish would bite. Even Michelle said to me dont mount them like that they look crap..  Style tips from a 380 driver

Anyway mounted according to FB/EK club guidelines. (If no rule about number plate mounting we need one. )
Even if its a little off center.

But please bring trim removal tool and we'll put them on..
(I packed the tool you gave me away for the move.)
