bit of info

The HQ was bought brand new off the showroom floor by my uncle way back in '73 as a 6 banger auto. within the last 8 years he converted it to a 253 on gas and it was used as a work horse for years till i bought it.

currently it is running a VN injected 5Lt, T700 and the LSD out of the same car. extractors, discs all round. 2 inch lowered stubs on the front and 1 inch lower ute springs on the back. new shocks all round and one mother of a front sway bar.

the tray is still in the building stage but will be polished wood with a custom tool box on it.

only needs the tray, exhaust and rims now and i can drive it (finally)

not a fb/ek but i like it :D

cheers

gday J. yeah the wood should look pretty good. still deciding what type to use though.

the coupe in the background is a 1948 Fiat 500C (Topolino)
Going to be a father son hotrod project eventually.

Cheers. Is a tight fit with the heater box and all. Seen a few done and they all seem to pull the heater box out. I need a heater when i drive to job sites in the morning :)
also wanted to keep the original commodork air box, so the battery was moved to the other side. hidden down beside the battery is all the fuses and relays.

all up quite an easy (if not time consuming) fit

would you believe that just under 55 meters of timber is needed for the tray!! Gotta love the old Tassie Oak though.

Chassis painted and ready for rims and tray.

Lewey,

that'a looks'a sick'a

I can see some slimline LEDs going in the rear. Motor looks right at home in the engine bay.
Have you thought about a Gas Research throttle body and running two 120ltr LPG tanks. Be super cheap to run then, just an

Keep up the up the good work.

Hey John,

Yeah twin gas tanks are in the long term plans. will build another motor more suited for gas first and then slap a terra charger on it :D

For now will just run it on petrol, will just be happy to have it back on the road.
