THE TARDIS

Post by BILLY BLACKARROW »

Hi FB/EKers
First off I would like to thank 'Brown Bear' I think it was him I met in Newcastle one Sunday morning a month or so back . He told me about this forum, my INTERNET PROVIDER thanks him too, as I haven't been off this site and my usage account is going through the roof (2 GIG of download) thought that would be enough!
Ok I am putting a 305 chev, with a turbo 350 auto, 9" &*#@ diff, I think I will go with 3.25 ratios for everyday driver, I don't know if to go open or lsd any suggestions?
At the moment I have done chase kit, hr front end, torana steering rack, modified torana steering column, bigger gearbox tunnel, HZ disk front and drum rear, booster is giving me a bit of trouble, but do like SAMMY'S set up in his ute. I think I will do that, it is neat! I'f it is ok to copy (SAMMY?)
It's in primer most of it anyway almont ready to paint but I'm very slow. I want to put bucket seats and a console in it, change grill a bit not to radical, it's an FB by the way.
This site has a lot of knowledge on it. I hope to tap into!
I have lots of panels left over. Guards, doors, boot lids, and bonnets. If anyone needs anything at a reasonable price let me know! Not after a big profit just keeping FB/EKs on the road.
My FB had hardly any rust in it compared to some I have seen on this site. I don't know how you bring them back so nice. I would have given up a long time ago!
I had a lilttle in firewall (sub frame section) guards (normal places) roof (behind chrome strip) spare wheel well, battery box, floors are original and in excellent nick.
Hope to finish it (THE TARDIS) some day, and meet some of you on social outings.
