Horn Help Please

oh your lucky, i was going to name this post "need to get horny"

wiring up my temporary stereo last friday night my idiot friend - who is an idiot yanked out my horn wire from under the dash.

apparantly "ah i just saw the loose wire and just yanked on it to see if it was attached to anything"

well, i have had numberous situations in the past week where i wanted to give someone an arooga, expecially cruizin past the hot girls in cottesloe.

so there is the red horn wire coming out of the fuse thingo - and then the end with the little metal thing on the end, where does the bit with the metal end go?

If your running the original horns ... the red will connect to a wire that runs out to your horn , the return from the horn then then go back to the horn via the column.

Look for a floating connector which runs out towards the engine bay.

I found it, connected it then still nothing......


looked at my fuses and only one wasnt blown

Grab a 12 volt test light and check the fuses again to see if power is actually bridging across the fuse.Sometimes fuses can "blow" without actually looking like they have "blown" because they melt at the ends where you can't see the melt zone.

Hope that all makes sense , maybe blacky, being the forum sparky, can explain it betterer than I have
