fitting of fuel tank.
Did it on the weekend. Remove rubber grommet near filler cap if not already out, jack up car and put on stands, sit under car with tank on you legs and put filler pipe in the first grommet, then gently twist slightly to rear of car and push up. Should slide in. It worked for me. Bolt up, add fuel ( if bank account allows) and drive off into the sunset.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Whatever....:(
how about taking one out?
and what about getting a better fuel gauge reading from it?
I have a new old tank with no holes or anything but because the old one doesnt read properly I have to shove a stick down the tank to see how much juice i got... The stick snapped on the weekend so i got a stick floating around in there ahahah
cheers

Before removing the tank, remove the sender and try cleaning the bolt holes and bolt threads. Also clean the tank mounting holes and threads. The sender grounds through the above, poor contact can lead to erratic or no reading. Test the sender with an Ohm meter on the bench.
You should be able to remove the broom stick through the hole.
