HR Panel Van

Post by Sean Hammond »

Hey guys, devilrod directed me to this site, lots of neat stuff here!
From a hot rod background, although my dads first car was a lowered ek sedan with a tube grille. :D Collecting parts for my first hot rod project, a '35 &*#@ pickup. Have a complete EK dash to put in it so that might be a love/hate thing from EK fanatics. haha.
Im an apprentice panel beater by day and play in a few bands here in melb at night.
This is my daily driver/band equipment hauler/female attractor unit.
Was a one owner car until mid '06, I bought it off the nephew in-law of the original owner. Pretty much in original condition, paint has been touched up here and there but has held up well for forty years, although a friend at work planted a bug in my head about re spraying it this summer. (same colour of course!)
Runs a 202 with a 186 head, electronic ignition, 350 holley with extractors. Was only meant to be a temporary motor while i freshen the original 161 up..plans changed when i found out this motor hauled ASS. hahaha.
Early commonwhore seats re trimmed, premier steering wheel painted to look marblized. Car is lowered about 4 inches but depending on how many amps are in the back can get to about 6" :D

Sure hope the old dude that owned it likes side pipes :)

Great car. Windowless old holden vans look great!

An ( unrestored but in good nic) FJ windowless van got passed in on Ebay this week for $32,323 was the top bid of 17 bids.
Reserve not met! Now that shows what sort of money some cars are going for these days!
