Yamba Dog hit by EK is O.K.Thought you may want to know.

Post by Silverfox XWGT »

To the guys in the FB or EK who hit the dog as they left Yamba.....I was in the dark grey Nissan Patrol Wgn behind you and stopped to help.
You were quite concerned at the scene and you probably left wondering if she would survive and I have some good news. We got her to the vet. Luckily I had his home phone number and he was there about ten minutes after you guys left.
Spent a few days at the vet's and went home. Is now pretty much well.
I hope the owner does the right thing and fixes his fence........
She is probably the only one not looking forward to seeing the FB/EKs roll back into town!

Cheers
Nick.
....I now know why roo bars weren't a NASCO accessory...the old busses had them built in!

Hi Nick - people are going to think I was dreaming - it wasn't me who hit the dog - but I'll put my hand up for the 'roo............ my daughter was folling me , not a Nissan Patrol.................
Very glad to hear the dog made a good recovery - hope my 'roo did as well.....

thanks for the update - and yes, they are pretty strong, if the metal is still "wholesome" not holesome...........

Thanks for the update, Nick.....

frats,
Rosco

ps - don't be tempted to "biff" a 'roo off with an FB or EK - we were very lucky..........

Thanks Nick,
I know it was raining quite heavily, but even my wipers were good enough to see it bound (well only saw it do this twice - it didn't get a "third").........

I can give you an exact location if you want it - still yet to examine the GPS log .............. it will show all relevant details - time, speed, distance, location etc.................will save the spot as a "mark" for our return trip (in retirement)....... think it was about ten minutes after leaving the town...... will let you know when I do the map........
