Dual throat weber

Post by 62cruiser »

hi everyone,
newby to this site/forum so i will give my brief history.
i have a 62 EK Alamo beige sedan with balanced, 20 thou oversize piston, ported/polished head, 30/70 cam.

i have had twin stroms on it and had problems with fueling up, i have a new dual downthroat weber that suites a 2.5 ltr.

1. is this a better option than stroms/ SU/ holley
2. if yes, are there any adaptors to fit weber to original manifold.

great site. :D

I love Weber carbs.Easy to work on,go well, and have an excellent sound when full throttle!!

You'd probably be lucky to find a Weber to Grey adaptor but it shouldn't be hard to make one or have someone make one for you.

I made an adapter and put a 2 litre Cortina Weber carb on a 1.3 litre Corolla ( the missus shopping trolley ) years ago and it made a fair bit of a difference and it could be heard by my mates on full throttle from miles away    .

If the Weber is setup for a 2.5 litre engine then it would most likely go well on the warm grey as it is.

Do it!!

Terry.
I can't think what to write here so this will do.

any competent fitter & turner should be able to whip one up on a mill if you can supply the piece of metal (billet). 8)
